The plan of the Trip

The 15 days GRAND Morocco Desert Tour itinerary from Casablanca starts with a warm welcome from the airport by our professional driver/guide. First day of the tour will be about seeing the Grand Casablanca city. Take a walk to the corniche and see the biggest minaret in all Morocco “Hassan II” Mosque of Casablanca. we will have a guided tour to the mosque so you can learn about the local architecture and history then we go see Rick’s Cafe, a famous cafe in Casablanca dedicated to the movie CASABLANCA and we will also visit MOROCCO MALL, the largest mall in Africa Afterward check in the hotel and have rest of the day free to relax at the hotel.

We pick you from the hotel after breakfast in Casablanca and drive to explore Rabat, where you will see Hassan Tower, the Oudaya Kasbah, and the Mausoleum Mohammed V. Then we continue our journey to Tangier which is a lovely city in the northwestern Morocco on the coasts of the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean. Stop to explore Asilah on the way, which is a 15th century Portuguese fortress. Once you arrive in Tangier you will explore the sites of the city like the Hercules Cave and Cape Spartel and of course the Old city of Tangier. Then check into the hotel and you have the rest of the day free.

Depart from Tangier to Tetouan then we Leave in the direction of chefchaouen. To arrive in Chefchaouen is to dive into a labyrinth that is unlike any other Moroccan medina, and yet it has a perfect order and harmony. All roads lead to Outa-Hammam Square, which holds the largest mosque and meeting center of its inhabitants. The blue city of Chefchaouen is one of the most charming and emblematic cities in Morocco. With a calm medina nestled between the Rif mountains and the Middle Atlas, Chefchaouen is famous for goat cheese. Suspended and anonymous among the mountains, the city is extraordinarily picturesque, ideal for those who like to explore a city with freedom and to take photos, and for those who find delight in the details, in terms of culture or architecture. Enjoy the view over the city, with its soft and continuous shades bathed in light, from the top of a hill.

Today we can take a day trip to Akchour waterfall which has a beautiful landscape or have your own free time in the blue city to relax or explore the city on your own.

Departure in the morning to leave Chefchaouen for Volubilis and Meknes city. The Roman ruin of “Walili” -Volubilis-, great ruins with stunning scenery that will grab your attention when you are about to explore them. Proceed the drive to Fes.
*You can also stop on the way to explore Meknes but most of the sites are closed due to restoration.

Pick up from the Hotel in Fes we drive southwards to Ifrane which is known as the Switzerland of Morocco, then we head off to cedar forest to see the Monkeys in their natural habitat. We continue our Journey through to Midelt along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock, you’ll see views of the Middle-Atlas plateau, noticing how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city Errachidia. After lunch, we’ll continue our journey through the Ziz valley and Erfoud. we continue drive to Eroud also known as the fossil town then to Sahara desert. In Erfoud you can explore a fossil workshop if you are interested in fossils. Then we continue to Merzouga, arrive in the afternoon, you will b e welcomed with a glass of mint tea then check in your hotel.

Today is dedicated to discovering the oriental Sahara desert. We will drive through the desert visiting the nomads at Erg Chebbi in the Sahara desert so you get to know about the nomadic lifestyle. join them for a glass of tea and learn about their lifestyle, We will also go to the village of the dark-skinned people named “Khamlia” and enjoy the original music and folk songs of the Gnawas and visit Rissani, the last major city of about 40 km west of Erg Chebbi. Rissani itself is a very interesting old town. From 8 to 14 century it was a separate kingdom, known as Sijilmassa,prosperous by the caravan routes and visiting the local market – the interesting thing about this Souk is not a tourist souk, but for the people living there. 3 times a week is the market with sheep, goats and donkeys. Today you can try berber Pizza for lunch, it is a local speciality. From there back to Sahara to spend the night in a Luxury camp. At the camp you will be welcomed by a glass of Mint tea before you get to your tent with a private shower, dinner will be served at any time you want even 20 Minute after you get your Private Tent. After dinner you will have a chance to experience the Berber night which is to drum around the fire and dance the Berber’s way.

Your camp staff will wake you up early in the morning to watch what may well be the best sunrise of your life. After breakfast you’ll peacefully comel-trek back to Merzouga appreciating the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes – changing with the light as the day progresses. Meet your driver to leave for Tinghir and the Todra Gorges They are spectacular limestone river canyons to discover and appreciate its beauty. Finally we arrived in the Dades Valley where we will have dinner and spend the night.

Pick up from the hotel in Dades Valley then drive to explore the rose valley because May is the season of pink roses and journey continues to Ouarzazate also known as the Hollywood of Africa where you can learn about the movie industry where you can visit the Film studio or Film museum and we continue exploring the most famous Kasbah in the southeast of Morocco; Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco. After touring this UNESCO World Heritage site, our journey continues through the majestic Tizi n Tichka pass, the highest road passing mountains reaching an altitude of 2260m above the level of the sea, in the High Atlas Mountains We will stop to enjoy the impressive views of the landscape and visit the Argan oil cooperative if you are interested in. We will arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon.

Palais Bahia: Is a palace built in the late 19th century, intended to be the greatest palace of its time.
Mellah: The area of the first Jewish settlement. Usually, the Jewish quarter was situated near the royal palace or the residence of the governor, in order to protect its inhabitants from recurring riots since its inhabitants played a vital role in the local economy. Majorelle Garden: One of the most popular locations in Morocco, the Majorelle Garden is the creation of French painter Jacques Majorelle, who spent 40 years injecting his passion and creativity into this magical garden. Complete with enchanting little lanes, tranquil streams and over 300 species of stunning plants, Jardin Majorelle is perfect for those who need a break from the busy city.

Pick up from the hotel in Marrakech in the afternoon and head off to Essaouira which is one of the loveliest cities in Morocco and also a multicultural artistic center, which has captivated people like Jimi Hendrix, Orson Welles and Bob Marley. With a fresh ocean breeze permanently invading all the corners of its medina, the city of Essaouira stands out for its urban life and culture. Essaouira is also highlighted for its gastronomy based on fresh fish and in the use of Argan oil. Essaouira’s Medina was built in the 18th century. Nowadays the city is a World Heritage Site protected by UNESCO and is the favorite place for most Moroccan artists and musicians. The city is also the stage of the famous music festival Gnawa, an old spiritual art form of North-African Islamism.
