Upon your arrival we will drive to Fes stay overnight in a Riad in the heart of Fes medina.
After breakfast in your Riad, you will start exploring the oldest city in Morocco, walking in its alleys and small streets. Our visit starts by visiting the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish headquarter, the first Mellah ever built in Morocco, built during the 16th century. We will ensure that you visit all sites with cultural and historical interest including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region, the Tanneries, the Attarine museum and Mulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you will visit the tiles cooperative and then experience a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes.
We will pick you up from your Hotel or Riad in Fes then drive southwards to Ifrane and Azrou by the Middle Atlas mountains, On the way we will stop at cedar forest to see the Barbarian Ape in their natural habitat. Traveling through the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt and along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock, you’ll see views of the Middle-Atlas plateau, noticing how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city Errachidia. After lunch, we’ll continue our journey through the Ziz valley Erfoud, Rissani and Merzouga. Camel ride at sunset and overnight stay in a Berber tent, with a private bathroom and toilet, in the heart of Erg Chebbi dunes. At the desert camp you can go for sandboarding. Dinner and breakfast at the Camp are included.
The day is dedicated to discover the oriental Sahara desert. We will drive through the desert on a 4×4, visiting the nomads at Erg Chebbi. We also go to the village of the dark-skinned people named “Khamlia” and enjoy the original music and folk songs of the Gnawas and visit Rissani, the last major city about 40km west of Erg Chebbi. Rissani itself is very interesting old town. From 8 to 14 century it was a separate kingdom, known as Sijilmassa, prosperous of the caravan routes and visit market - souk, interesting in that it is not tourist souk, but for the people living there. 3 times a week is the market day with sheep and donkeys we will have lunch with a Berber family (Berber Pizza for lunch). From there back to Merzouga village overnight stay in a hotel overlooking the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Dinner and Breakfast at the Hotel are included.
After enjoying a fresh shower and an open air breakfast at the edge of the desert overlooking the dunes, we then depart for Erfoud. It is one of the oldest known sites, where you can find precious and unique fossils. As we make our way through the palm tree groves, we stop for lunch on the way and head to Todra Gorges, a magnificent canyon in the Atlas Mountains. We will have a walk through the canyon floor with the spectacular cliffs surrounding us on either side, we end the day in Dades Valley which is a perfect destination overlooking the fertile valley below and the panorama of the mountains beyond. Dinner and breakfast at the hotel are included.
After breakfast in the hotel, you will travel through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazate. The route through Dades Valley is the way of the thousand Kasbahs – providing numerous opportunities to take some of your best photographic shots of the trip. Today you will have the opportunity to meet Berber Nomads in their caves and then you will enjoy the fertile Rose valley and the rock formations along the way. We’ll stop at Kalaat M’gouna, “the rose city”. Continuing on to Skoura and the birds valley, you’ll visit the Kasbah Ameridil, a well-preserved kasbah in this area followed by lunch at a restaurant, overlooking the whole valley. After lunch it’s on to Ouarzazate, “the Hollywood of Africa”, whose geography and beautiful landscapes has attracted many world class movie producers. Here you may choose to visit the studios, containing props used in movies, you may have already seen, such as The Mummy, Gladiator and the Last temptation of Christ. Overnight stay in a hotel ( ksar ) with dinner and breakfast.
After breakfast in the Hotel (Ksar), you will travel via the dramatic Tizi Ntichka Pass. you’ll stop at the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. The largest Kasbah in Morocco, was built by T-hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains, at the end of the 19th century to be one of his stops during his long trading routes to Timbuctu in Mali. Now the Kasbah houses many of the Glaoui family members. After a short visit to the Kasbah, your journey will continue through the majestic Tizi n’tichka in the high Atlas mountian before arriving in Marrakech. Night in a Riad with breakfast included.
After breakfast in the Riad, you can start exploring Marrakech “the red city of Morocco”. We will ensure that you see the most important sites of historical and cultural interest, including the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace. After Lunch at a restaurant near the square, you will walk through the souks and see hundreds of handicrafts. at the afternoon, you will have some free time to wonder by yourself the other parts of the city.
After breakfast in the morning in your Riad we will drive to Casablanca and then to Rabat. In Casablanca, you will visit the Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque outside of Mecca and experience the coastal "Cornish" seaside. Afterwards, we will leave for Rabat, the capital of Morocco, in which we will visit the Hassan Tower and the Kasbah of the Oudayas. we will spend the night in a riad located in the middle of the medina of Rabat. Breakfast is included.
After breakfast in the morning we will drive to Chefchaoun to explore one of the most beautiful cities in Morocco, one of the stunning villages at the feet of the Rif Mountains. The Chefchaouen medina had a Spanish-style square surrounded by many funky arts and crafts stores, roof-top restaurants and cafes where you will spend your night in a nice place to enjoy the breeze and the beauty of nature. Stay overnight in the Medina of the Blue City in a Hotel with breakfast included.
After breakfast in the riad, our exciting journey will start towards Volubilis, via Wazan and other Rif villages. In Volubilis, we will visit the Roman ruins and learn about the archeological site and its Morrocan history. After visiting the ruins, we will make our way to Meknes, a city with a 17th century heritage. We will stop here for lunch and hang out at the historical huge walls of the medina, Bab el Mansour and enjoy a visit to Moulay Ismail's shrine, after the visit to Meknes we will drive directly to Fes city, where you will spend the night.
On the very last day we transfer you to the airport.
